This is a rare old spec (BH) Beistegui Hermanos Eibar (Espana) automatic pistol model 1914, chambered in 7.62x17 . This pistol was manufactured for military use. It has plain wooden chequered grips and lanyard hoop. The French military used this type of pistol during WWI, issuing them to machine gunners, mortar crews, stretcher bearers and by 1918 to tank crews. The magazine base looks to bear French military acceptance markings. Deactivated in 1990 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
