Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Fabrica ItalianaArmi Sabbatti – Gardone V.T. / Made In Italy For Kassnar Imports”. The right side of the barrel is marked “ACC Breda – Chrome Molibdenum Steel / 12 Ga. – 3”Magnum”. The serial number is found under the lever, and the underside of the frame is marked “Made In Italy”.

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a full length rib and a single forward bead.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are varnished and checkered wood. There are very few marks or scratches in the wood, just a bit of thinning and discoloration at areas of frequent contact. There are no splits or cracks. The LOP measures 13 ¾” to the end of the butt plate. The stocks rate in about Fine - Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Factory Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and sharp. There is a bit of fouling and streaking, that should clean, but no erosion or pitting.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little use.  This shotgun has not been fired very much and most of the wear is apparently from storage and reassembly. The Screw heads are very serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. The lever needs to be used to both open and close the action (by design). Also, the forearm release is tight to engage and disengage during disassembly and reassembly but not difficult.

Our Assessment: Fabrica Italiana Armi Sabatti (FIAS) has produced a variety of Over/Under and Side by side shotguns, as well as, supplying component parts to other Italian gunmakers. Sabatti is known for building reliable, well built and nicely finished guns. Here is a perfect example of that.
