The Grizzly Bear Deer is the fourth knife in Kershaw’s North American Wildlife Bowie series and was issued in 1996. Sculptured by famed western artist Norman Cutliff, each piece was precision cast by the lost wax process of solid bronze. It’s sleek, well-proportioned and hollow-ground blade is handcrafted and mirror-polished in premium-grade, triple-tempered 440C die makers steel by master cutler, Dan Harrington. The blade is uniquely slotted to receive a 3-D bronze sculpted outdoor scene featuring a grizzly with a downed elk. A polished brass polished pommel is a perfect complement to the rich brown toned Pakkawood from which elegant finger-contoured handle is shaped. It features a mirror polished clip point blade, .177" blade stock and 1.765" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a bronze cast grizzly bear head guard, and brass butt. Includes a walnut and acrylic display stand. Limited Production of Five Thousand (5000) Pieces. Discontinued by the manufacturer, this knife is number 3888/5000. Display measures approx 18" x7" tall.
