For sale is a USED Smith and Wesson Model 581 revolver in .357 Mag. Serial number- AAE6348. Mfg. in 1983. This revolver is in great condition! The bore is in Excellent condition!  This revolver is chambered in .357 Mag and the stamp underneath the grips tells us this revolver is an “L” frame which is the Model 581 that was only chambered in .357 Mag. This leads us to believe this revolver was mis-stamped from the factory which was known to happen on rare occasions and typically collects a huge premium from collectors! This is very uncommon of Smith and Wesson and would make a great conversation piece in your collection! 
The Smith & Wesson Model 581, also known as the “Distinguished Service Magnum”, is the rarer brother of the Smith & Wesson Model 586 “Distinguished Combat Magnum”, featuring non-adjustable fixed sights. The S&W 581 is a larger L-frame revolver, first produced in the 1980s.
